Tanzania Natural gas Comprehensive utilization project is contracted by CNPC ( China National Petroleum Corporation ), The principal part of the project for 542 km gas pipelines and two natural gas treatment plant. Pipeline starting from Mtwara and SongoSongo Islands, south of Tanzania, end at point of Dar es Salaam, east of Tanzania. Design in gas transmission capacity of 8 billion cubic meters. And natural gas daily treatment will reach 6 million cubic meters. Presently, the gas treatment plant has been installed all equipment and going to commissioning.
We Royal Power is responsible for the whole plant natural gas power supply. All gensets are all original Jenbacher gas generator. There are 3x GE J320 (single unit power 1053kW) located in Mtwara; and other 4xGE J616 (single unit power 2677kW) in SongoSongo.
